Bio: Dr. Dinh-Dang is a California native who has been living in St. Louis since her
move for medical school. A grandma at heart, she enjoys staying indoors and cooking
with friends, going to antique shops, and crocheting with her mom. When the weather
permits, she also likes to play tennis and go on outdoor runs. She has an interest
in retina and glaucoma but is excited to explore all other subspecialties during residency.
John Lee, M.D., M.S.
Hometown: Los Angeles

Bio: Dr. Lee grew up in Southern California but has lived in St. Louis since moving
to the Midwest for medical school. Outside of medicine, he can be found eating large
quantities of fruit, spending time playing outdoor sports and board games and also
exploring the restaurant scene throughout St. Louis and beyond.
Adam L. Lewis, D.O.
Hometown: Orem, Utah
Undergrad: Brigham Young University
Medical School: Kansas City University
Bio: Dr. Lewis was born in Utah and grew up enjoying all kinds of outdoor sports including
snowboarding, snow skiing, hiking, biking and water skiing. He also enjoys basketball,
tennis, and more recently, pickleball. Dr. Lewis loves spending time with his wife
and kids and has enjoyed experiencing many of the family-friendly activities that
St. Louis has to offer. He is interested in anterior segment surgery and retina, but
is excited to explore all subspecialties of ophthalmology.
Michael Moussa, M.D.
Hometown: Detroit
Undergrad: Wayne State University- B.S. In Biochemistry and Chemical Biology
Medical School: Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine
Bio: Dr. Moussa was born and raised in metro Detroit as the middle child of two Syrian
immigrants. He is extroverted by nature and thoroughly enjoys hosting friends, traveling,
and learning about other cultures. When not at work, he spends his time exercising
or exploring new adventures with his wife. He also enjoys reading books and exchanging
recommendations. Some of his current favorites include: “The Alchemist,” “Man's Search
For Meaning,” and “When Breath Becomes Air”. He remains open-minded and enthusiastic
about exploring the various subspecialties of ophthalmology, not yet having settled
on a particular area of focus.

Jillian Baker, D.O., MBA

Bio: Although she was born and raised in the California Central Valley, Dr. Baker
loves the robust four seasons of the Midwest along with its warm, welcoming people.
She spends most of her free time playing with her red-headed labradoodle named Jenny,
but also enjoys hanging out with friends, doing jigsaw puzzles, and singing/playing
the piano. While subspecialty decisions are yet to be determined, Dr. Baker plans
to practice some aspect of anterior segment surgery in whichever Midwestern town she
can convince her family to move to!
N. Koh Baugnon, M.D.
Hometown: Portland, Oregon
Undergrad: George Fox University, Newberg, Oregon - Biology
Medical School: Saint Louis University
Bio: Dr. Baugnon grew up in the Pacific Northwest but has been in St. Louis since
moving to the Midwest for medical school. Outside of work, he enjoys spending time
outside with his wife and Tibetan terrier Hobi and has enjoyed exploring St. Louis
city restaurants and the surrounding bluffs and wine country by bike. He has an interest
in anterior segment surgery and glaucoma but is open to exploring all subspecialties.
Rocio Bentivegna, M.D.
Hometown: Bahia Blanca, Argentina
Undergrad: Austral University, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Medical School: Austral University, Buenos Aires, Argentina
Bio: Dr. Bentivegna grew up in Bahia Blanca Argentina, moved to Buenos Aires for medical
school and ophthalmology residency, lived in Australia and has moved to the U.S. for
further medical training. She enjoys spending time with her family, dancing and trying
different local coffee shops. She has an interest in oculoplastics surgery as well
as comprehensive ophthalmology.
Scott Sonne, M.D.
Hometown: St. Louis
Undergrad: Brigham Young University, Magna Cum Laude in Exercise Science
Medical School: Saint Louis University
Bio: Dr. Sonne has lived in Utah and Europe and is thrilled to be training as a resident
in his hometown in a supportive and rigorous program. He enjoys being active in the
outdoors and the gym, though he spends most of his free time with his two small children
and wife continuing to explore and enjoying the city he grew up in. Ophthalmology
has always been a passion since his introduction to it. He has published and conducted
research primarily in diseases of the retina. Presently his interest lies primarily
in retina and he plans to pursue a fellowship.

Osasu Adah, M.D.
Hometown: Clinton, Mississippi

College- Biochemistry
Medical school: University of Mississippi Medical Center
Biography: Dr. Adah was born and raised in Clinton, Mississippi. Some of her hobbies
growing up were playing soccer since the age of four and playing the clarinet from
6th-12th grade. She was involved in various activities during college including researching
about laryngeal carcinoma and working with a campus missionary that led the Intervarsity
Christian Fellowship. Dr. Adah decided to pursue a career in ophthalmology partly
due to the rarity of minority professionals in this field, her personal experience
battling myasthenia gravis as a teenager, and recognizing the importance of treating
ocular diseases. Her ultimate career goal is to become a competent clinician, surgeon,
and researcher in the field of ophthalmology.
Cinthia Pi, M.D.
Hometown: Chapel Hill, North Carolina
Undergrad: Duke University, Durham, North Carolina - Biology
Medical School: University of North Carolina
Bio: Dr. Pi grew up in China, Japan, and central North Carolina. Outside of work,
she can be found chasing around her (way too) energetic toddler and exploring the
many (free!) parks/museums in St. Louis. She has enjoyed every ophthalmology subspecialty
at SLU so far, and has not decided between comprehensive vs glaucoma after residency.
Andrew Polk, M.D.
Hometown: Ozark, Missouri
Undergrad: University of Missouri - Biological Engineering
Medical School: University of Missouri
Bio: Dr. Polk was born and raised in the ‘Show-Me’ state. He grew up in a rural Missouri
town before moving to Columbia to attend college and medical school at Mizzou and
ultimately making his way to St. Louis. In his free time, Dr. Polk enjoys riding his
motorcycle and exploring new restaurants in the St. Louis area. He also enjoys walking
Grant’s Trail with his wife and their two dogs, Piper and Louie. His professional
interests include glaucoma, cornea, and refractive surgery.
